DB Cargo Russija OOO is a wholly owned subsidiary of DB Cargo AG, Europe’s leading freight railway. DB Cargo AG brings together over 30 international rail logistics companies and is owned by Deutsche Bahn AG, one of the world’s largest logistics groups. DB Cargo is currently represented in nearly every European markets, from Spain to Poland, Sweden to Italy, and since 2013, also in the United Arab Emirates.

Founded in 1999, DB Cargo Russija (known as Railion Russija Services until April 2016) provides tailored, sophisticated solutions for the entire transport chain - from the initial planning process through to handling rail transport and providing all related logistics services – and provides its services from a single source. Although DB Cargo Russija’s tailored transport chains are based on rail transportation (1435 and 1520 gauges), they are designed as multimodal solutions and integrate truck and barge transportation for all CIS countries, the European Union and Asia.

DB Cargo Russija is well positioned in the rail freight market of the Eurasian Economic Union and has close connections with partners on the 1520 gauge network. This allows DB Cargo Russija to offer forwarding, freight, transit, export, and import services, both to and from CIS countries, Mongolia and China, the Baltic countries and Europe. In cooperation with local key market players, in recent years DB Cargo Russija has increasingly focused its core business on providing container train services both to and from China (east and westbound), offering weekly transports of single wagons, wagon groups or block trains.
